A White Peak Walk from Monyash
The village of Monyash in the White Peak is a wonderful place, with pretty limestone cottages on quiet lanes, a village green, a duckpond and a lovely country pub. It’s surrounded by stunning scenery and is located at the head of the beautiful Lathkill Dale.

At 4 miles long, our circular walk that starts and ends in Monyash is a great way of seeing the area.
The route takes you on tracks and field paths through rolling countryside into part of Cales Dale, lined with twisted, moss-covered trees, and on into Lathkill Dale. It follows the River Lathkill to its source, when in wet weather or winter months it can be seen springing forth dramatically into the landscape from a cave. From there the route heads up through the open countryside of Bagshaw Dale before returning to Monyash.
