Sleeping 4 to 24 people there’s accommodation to suit all group sizes, many with their own private hot tub! There’s so much to keep everyone entertained at Oakerthorpe Holiday Village, both in their own private grounds, exclusive to holiday guests, or at the many nearby family attractions. Children will love the visiting the animals in the petting park or giving farmer Vic a hand at feeding time. Seven Unique Luxury Holiday Lets – All Dog Friendly
There are seven unique holiday properties at Oakerthorpe Holiday Village, including gorgeous historic farmhouse buildings, beautiful barn conversions, a stylish bungalow and even an underground wine cellar! The properties combine charming original features such as timber beams, exposed stonework and feature fireplaces, with modern luxuries such as granite worktops, underfloor heating, quality appliances and hot tubs, to provide the most fabulous places to stay!
Each property has been styled using crisp, clean, pastel décor, with sumptuous sofas and quality furniture, complemented with luxurious fabrics and lots of stylish finishing touches, to create relaxing spaces for everyone to enjoy.
The layout of each property varies, but each has a gorgeous lounge area with Smart TV and Wi-Fi, and plenty of comfortable sofas to seat all guests, along with dining areas with seating for everyone to enjoy a meal together, including large banqueting tables in the larger properties. The kitchens are all fitted with top quality electrical appliances, together with all essential cookware, to ensure you enjoy have a wonderful home-from-home stay.
There are varying sized properties, with a combination of king size double rooms, family rooms and twin rooms, so there should be something to suit every group size and every occasion. There’s a mix of immaculate ensuite rooms and large family bathrooms, with either large walk-in power showers, baths with over-showers, romantic free-standing roll-top baths or stylish wet rooms!

It’s the fabulous family facilities that sets Oakerthorpe Holiday Village aside from other holiday accommodation providers in the Derbyshire area, with so much to offer to ensure children have fun, whilst the adults relax.
Children and adults alike will love spending time in Oakerthorpe Holiday Village’s petting area, beautifully laid out within a secure walled orchard. Watch the ducks and geese waddling around, splashing in the small ponds, while the peacock shows off its beauty. Pop and say hi to the comical alpacas, fluffy sheep, cheeky meerkats and rogueish goats, who are all sure to keep everyone amused. Even better, keep your eye out for Farmer Vic who you can help out at feeding times and give a hand collecting eggs from the free-range chickens.
The secure playpark is just as much fun, with a slide, swings, climbing frame and playhouse. The children will have great fun in the canoe and climbing aboard the full-sized tractor, whilst parents relax in the surrounding picnic area with benches.
For the more energetic there is a floodlit sports area, perfect for a game of football or tennis perhaps?
Don’t worry, your four-legged friends are sorted, with a designated dog walking area, so they can stretch their legs too.
For those who enjoy a little al fresco dining, there is a great barbecue area with 5 barbecues.

Of course, with the Peak District National Park just around 30 minutes’ drive away, there are also many nearby picturesque villages to explore and miles of beautiful footpaths and cycling trails to discover. A firm favourite with children is Robin Hood’s Stride, or a paddle in the pretty river at Youlgreave. Stanton in Peak is a little gem of a village with numerous walking trails through moorland, carpeted with stunning pink heather in the summer. Both Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House make for a wonderful day out, browsing their beautiful gardens and exquisite grounds, or for those who like to browse the shops, why not head to the popular towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne with lots of independent shops and fabulous eateries?!
Looking a little close to Oakerthorpe Holiday Village, there’s a fish and chip shop, and many fabulous pubs nearby serving delicious meals, and some serving breakfast too, ideal for those who want a complete break from the usual chores. One of the most popular pubs is less than a mile away, so ideal for a nice stroll out for a bite to eat or a refreshing evening pint.
There’s also a 24-hour supermarket nearby, or online deliveries can be arranged, as can outside caterers!
