Underleigh House is a traditional Derbyshire Longhouse built in 1873. It’s situated on a private lane between the beautiful Peak District villages of Hope and Edale, in the heart of the breathtaking Hope Valley, one of the most picturesque valleys in the National Park.
The surrounding countryside is perfect for all kinds of outdoor pursuits and is popular with walkers, cyclists and climbers. After a day exploring in the open air guests will be able to truly relax and unwind completely here, whether in their own private lounges, in the main lounge in front of the open fire, or outside in the glorious, well-kept garden, watching the many garden birds that also choose to visit Underleigh House.
It comes as no surprise that this wonderful place has received many awards, including the Visit England Gold Award for accommodation of exceptional quality and the Visit England Breakfast Award. For many years it has also been included in the independent Good Hotel Guide, which features only accommodation recommended by visitors.
Vivienne Taylor, who owns and manages Underleigh House, was a finalist in the AA’s Friendliest Landlady of the Year awards for the Bed & Breakfast category. The helpful and welcoming staff here cannot do enough to ensure that you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
